Devastated tsunami
victims in Southeast Asia.
Terrified refugees in Darfur, Sudan.
Innocent victims of conflict in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Starving children in southern Africa.
We have all seen the horrifying images on our television screens.
We have all seen the eyes of the shattered children. We want to do something - anything - to help relieve their suffering.
Children's Hunger Relief Fund was established in 1975 by dedicated volunteers who were driven by this very desire: to do something to help.
When disaster strikes, we are there.
The goal is to help keep children and their families alive. And because of our emphasis on local networks and relationships, we tend to stay, long after the cameras have moved on.
We also focus on areas that the large aid organizations avoid - areas that are considered too hard to reach, or too dangerous. When other aid organizations pull out, we dig in.
Imagine the stunned gratitude of a mother when someone from thousands of miles away reaches out to help save her child's life. Suddenly there is hope again, and renewed strength to live.
